Privacy Policy
How DeliveryFor collects, uses, and protects your information.
Last updated: October 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DeliveryFor ("DeliveryFor," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information across the DeliveryFor platform, including the DeliveryFor customer app, the DeliveryFor Driver app, the customer web app, and deliveryfor.com (together, the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Account & profile information
- Name, email address, and phone number provided at sign-up
- Company name, saved delivery addresses, and delivery preferences (optional)
- For drivers: vehicle details (type, capacity, equipment) and profile photo
Location information
- Customers: pickup and drop-off addresses you enter, and, during an active order, a map showing the assigned driver's location.
- Drivers: precise device location, including in the background while you are online or completing a delivery, so customers can track their order and so we can match you with nearby jobs. Location sharing stops when you go offline.
Payment information
- Customer payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; card data is tokenized and held by Stripe.
- Driver payouts use Stripe Connect. Bank account and identity-verification details are submitted directly to Stripe, not stored by us.
Camera, photos & documents
- Proof of delivery: photos and signatures captured at drop-off.
- Delivery documentation: photos of items, receipts, or load contents.
- Driver verification documents: driver's license, vehicle insurance, vehicle registration, and vehicle photos uploaded for account approval, including expiration dates.
Messages
In-app chat messages between customers and drivers are stored to deliver the conversation and to help resolve disputes.
Ratings & reviews
Star ratings, tips, and comments you leave after a delivery.
Device & usage data
- Push-notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging) used to send order and job updates.
- Diagnostic, crash, and performance data (Firebase Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring).
2. How We Use Information
- Provide the Services: create, price, match, route, track, and complete deliveries.
- Payments & payouts: authorize and charge customers, pay drivers, and issue refunds.
- Communication: order/job status updates, push notifications, receipts, and in-app chat.
- Verification & safety: confirm driver eligibility, remind drivers of expiring documents, confirm delivery completion, and investigate disputes or misuse.
- Improvement: diagnose crashes and improve reliability and features.
3. How We Share Information
- Between customers and drivers: to complete a delivery, we share the customer's name, company (if provided), pickup and drop-off addresses, contact details, and order details with the assigned driver. We share the driver's name, vehicle, live location during the delivery, and rating with the customer.
- Service providers: Google / Firebase (hosting, database, authentication, notifications, diagnostics), Stripe (payments and payouts), and Google Maps Platform (address search, geocoding, routing, and maps).
- Legal & safety: when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of our users, the public, or DeliveryFor.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Storage, Security & Retention
- Data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure in the United States, with access controlled by server-side security rules.
- Uploaded photos and documents are kept in access-restricted cloud storage.
- We use industry-standard safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.
- We keep data only as long as needed to provide the Services or to meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations.
5. Your Rights & Choices
- Access & correct: view and edit your information from the Profile screens in the app.
- Delete your account: in either app, go to Profile → Delete Account, or email us at the address below. Some records (e.g., completed transactions and payout records) may be retained as required by law.
- Location & notifications: turn these off in your device settings. Some features (tracking, job offers) will stop working.
- Marketing: opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
- Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights to know, delete, or correct your data and to not be discriminated against for exercising them. Contact us to make a request.
6. Children
The Services are not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old to use DeliveryFor.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will announce material changes in the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above.
